Sawtooth Moving Company LLC respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to information collected through sawtoothmoving.com, by phone, by SMS, or in person when you book or request a quote with us.

01Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to quote, schedule, and complete your move and to keep our records straight afterward.

  • Contact information: name, phone number, email address.
  • Move details: loading address, unloading address, move date, home or office size, items requiring special handling, and any access notes (stairs, elevators, parking).
  • Payment information: credit or debit card details processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our own servers.
  • Service records: appointment history, invoices, payment status, photos of damage or pre-existing condition documented by our crew, and notes related to your account.
  • Communications: messages you send us through our website, email, SMS, or phone, including voice mailbox recordings if you leave a voicemail.
  • Website usage: standard log information such as browser type, device type, IP address, and pages visited. See Section 07 for details on cookies and analytics.

02How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Quote, schedule, and complete your moving service
  • Send appointment confirmations, reminders, arrival notifications, and follow-up messages
  • Process payments and send receipts and invoices
  • Document the condition of items moved and any damage claims
  • Respond to your questions, requests, and reviews
  • Send promotional or marketing messages, only if you have separately opted in (see Section 05)
  • Comply with legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations
  • Improve our services and our website

03How We Share Your Information

We share your information only with the service providers who help us run our business and only to the extent necessary for them to provide their service. These include:

  • Payment processing: Stripe, Inc. processes credit and debit card transactions on our behalf.
  • Booking and CRM: our customer relationship management system stores customer records, schedules appointments, and sends transactional SMS and email.
  • Email: Google Workspace handles our business email.
  • Reviews: Google Business Profile, only with your explicit opt-in to leave a review.
  • Legal compliance: we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sawtooth Moving, our customers, or the public.
We Do Not Sell Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

04How We Protect Your Information

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls limiting employee access to only what is needed, and reputable third-party processors for payment and data storage. No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

05SMS and Text Messaging Consent

You may opt in to receive text messages from Sawtooth Moving Company LLC by interacting with the chat widget on our website. During that interaction you may voluntarily provide your mobile phone number and independently select one or both consent checkboxes: one for customer-care messages, and one for promotional messages. Each checkbox is a separate and distinct consent; you may opt in to either or both message types. We do not enroll you in SMS messaging without your explicit opt-in.

Customer-care messages include responses to your support requests, ticket and appointment coordination, scheduling updates, crew arrival notifications, payment receipts, and follow-up communications related to an existing inquiry or a service you have requested or booked.

Promotional messages include special offers, discounts, event promotions, and service announcements. Customer-care consent and promotional consent are collected separately and are never combined. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Opt-Out and Help

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. For help, reply HELP or contact us at (208) 543-1460.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier’s standard messaging and data rates may apply to messages you send and receive.

Sawtooth Moving and the mobile carriers (including T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, and others) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

06Mobile Information Sharing

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors that support our services (such as our SMS gateway, payment processor, and customer relationship management system) is permitted only as needed to deliver the service. None of this information is sold or licensed to third parties under any circumstance.

07Cookies and Analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for three purposes:

  • Essential cookies that enable basic site functionality, the booking flow, and the contact form.
  • Analytics cookies that help us understand which pages are visited, how customers find us, and where the site can be improved. We may use Google Analytics or a comparable service for this.
  • Preference cookies that remember your choices, such as a saved quote in progress.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect site functionality, including the booking flow.

08Data Retention

We retain customer records (contact information, move details, invoices, payment records) for at least seven years to meet tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution requirements. SMS opt-in records are retained for the duration of your relationship with us and as required to demonstrate consent. You may request earlier deletion of marketing-only data at any time (see Section 09).

09Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of personal information no longer needed for the purposes it was collected (subject to our retention obligations under Section 08)
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time
  • Withdraw SMS consent by replying STOP or by contacting us

10Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.

11Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by updating the date and, where appropriate, by direct notice to active customers.
